    Growing Through Hope

    If “faith is the substance of things hoped for …” then 1 Thessalonians should be a key part of any believer’s growth. This letter contains:

    • Inspiring hope for the young convert (chapter 1)
    • Encouraging hope for a faithful servant (chapter 2)
    • Purifying hope for the a believer (chapter 3)
    • Comforting hope for the bereaved (chapter 4)
    • Rousing hope for the slack or sleepy (chapter 5)

    As you prepare for your next worship, center it around the hope of Christ’s coming.

    If Christ were coming today, what do you have left to do? A great list of action that reinforces hope is in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22.

    The Hope Within

    As David is crowned king of all Israel, there is a massive increase in the size of his army. Mighty men with great strength and well seasoned for battle were willing to follow him into battle because they saw the strength of his God. You too could live and demonstrate God’s love by being ready to answer His call. 1 Peter 3:13-16 is a great place to start. Be ready to talk about the hope inside you.

    When you are having trouble that seems bigger than you, turn to God rather than try to handle it on your own.
